Paris: Day 1

June 29, 2016

After our marvelous time in Amsterdam, it was time to move on to a more serious city, Paris. We arrived just before lunch. Our friends went directly to Paris from London so we just met up with them.

Our first order of business was of course, the Eiffel Tower. We stayed at an Airbnb near Rue de la Pompe Station so we just walked for around 20 minutes to the Eiffel Tower. My only goal in Paris was to take a gazillion photos at the Eiffel Tower, one that would last me a year. lol And that’s what I did.

This was such an OMG moment.

As you can see, the Monalisa is actually just a small painting and you can’t go near it so you will have a lot of competition to get that perfect photo. Our friend who had an injury was allowed to go near the painting and take a photo. lol Getting injured has its perks.
Here’s a famous Greek statue of Aphrodite of Milos.

We ended our day early because everyone was tired from the trip to Paris. We had dinner at our friend’s aunt’s house and she cooked us Filipino food!! We have been out of the country for 16 days already so we definitely missed home cooked meals! I didn’t take a photo of our meal that night because we were still shy. lol But we’re really thankful for our very wonderful host, Tita Mona, who cooked our breakfast everyday, gave us sandwiches for lunch and made sure that dinner was ready when we arrived at night.
