On our first full day in Iceland, we wanted to relax but we also wanted to get a glimpse of the place so we booked a tour to the Blue Lagoon during the day and another tour to see the Northern Lights at night.
The Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is a manmade lagoon and the water temperature averages at 37-39 degrees celsius. It was super relaxing! Here are some tips when visiting the Blue Lagoon. (These are notes to myself too, when I get the chance to visit again the future!)
How to Get There
I always say it and I’m gonna say it again. Iceland is expensive so you would most probably go grocery shopping at least once to buy either food to cook, snacks for your road trips, or your essentials. We went grocery shopping thrice in our whole stay and I took some pictures of how much food is at the Bonus grocery in Iceland.
While there are other grocery stores in Iceland, I’m going to talk about BONUS because we’ve also shopped at another grocery store, 1011 and it was more expensive than Bonus. The Bonus store near our airbnb usually closes at 6:30pm so sometimes after we’re back from the tours, it’s already closed. 1011 is like 7/11 and it’s open 24 hours so when we need just a few stuff late at night, we just shop there even though it’s more expensive.
Just wanted to share this video here of the places we visited in Melbourne! I was supposed to post this one last year but I got so busy with planning our trip to Iceland that I forgot to actually publish it. Lol.
Next month, I will be off again to one of my favorite cities in the world, TOKYO! It’s going to be my third time in Japan and I’m super proud to say that I got our roundtrip tickets (CEB-NRT) this time for only Php 1,650 per person!! Our plane tickets the last time I went to Japan were Php 3,700 each and I thought it was already very cheap. I didn’t think I’d get much cheaper tickets that that. lol
I cannot begin to explain how madly I fell in love with the Gold Coast. The minute I stepped out of the train station in Southport, I felt this fresh vibe of the place. I didn’t know that I was in for one of the best weeks of my life.
I tried making a video compilation of all the stuff that we did there and here it is. lol Sorry, still a noob in editing videos but I’m trying 😉
It was February of last year when my boyfriend and I booked roundtrip tickets from Cebu to Sydney for only Php 12,000! It was such a steal and although I’ve also seen the price of the tickets go to as low as Php 7,000, we were very lucky to have booked such cheap tickets to the Land Down Under. November finally came and it was time for our 19-day trip to Australia! Our first stop was of course, Sydney! Please enjoy my super short and super noob “vlog” (If I can even call it that. lol)
