Coldplay at Wembley

Whenever I ask my boyfriend what’s the highlight of our Europe Trip, he would always say that it was the Coldplay concert. My boyfriend is Coldplay’s #1 fan so when I found out that they were going to have a concert on one of the days that we’ll be in London, I was so excited for him! We bought resell tickets from Get Me In and had it delivered to our friend’s house in London.

Windsor-Bath-Stonehenge

June 15, 2016

On our first full day in England, I booked a Windsor-Bath-Stonehenge tour from Premium Tours. I knew that we will still be experiencing jetlag and this tour will involve hours of bus rides so at least we can sleep while on the way. The tour was a little bit pricey but it was worth it because we got to see the three major attractions outside London in one day and it was really convenient to not have to fall in line to buy tickets to the attractions. England has a very unpredictable weather and that was one intel that I didn’t know before going there. lol It can rain in one second and be all sunny on the next. I felt like all seasons happened on the day of our tour. lol

We were picked up by a double decker bus at the Victoria Coach Station at 8:15am. We ate breakfast and had to finish our coffee before boarding the bus because hot drinks were not allowed inside the bus. Alcohol and ice cream were also not allowed inside.

Our tour started in sunny Windsor. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. I could not believe that I was at the weekend residence of the queen. I literally went to London to visit the queen…’s residence 😉

Venice, Italy

July 4, 2016

We started the Italy leg of our Europe trip in Venice. We took the 14 hour night train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Venezia Mestre Station. We shared the cabin with 2 other people and I actually felt safe the whole time. The conductor kept our passports after we boarded the train so that we can just sleep through passport control in Switzerland.

We arrived at Venezia Mestre station at around 9am the next day and checked-in early at our hotel. We stayed at Hotel Plaza, and it’s conveniently located across the station.

How to Apply for a Schengen Tourist Visa (Cebu City, Philippines)

After our trip to London, my boyfriend and I will be going to the Netherlands, France and Italy. A Schengen Tourist Visa is needed for Filipinos intending to visit countries within the Schengen Area. I applied for my boyfriend’s tourist visa at the Italian embassy through VIA Center Cebu because it was too much of a hassle to go to Manila.

To be able to know which embassy you should apply in, here are a few things that I’ve learned through reading other blogs and websites and from asking VIA Center:

  1. If the traveller will go to just one Schengen country, he must apply at the embassy of the country that he will be visiting.
  2. If the traveller will go to two or more Schengen countries, he must apply at the embassy of the country wherein he will stay the longest during the trip.
  3. If the traveller will stay equal days in each Schengen country, he must apply at the embassy of the country which he will first enter.

Since VIA Center here in Cebu only accommodates applications to the Italian embassy, we decided that we’ll just stay in Italy longer than in the Netherlands and France. The application was a little more complicated than the UK Tourist Visa but it was way easier still than applying for a US Tourist Visa. My boyfriend submitted his application on April 27, 2016. How to Apply for a UK Tourist Visa (Cebu City, Philippines)

I have read a few articles online on how to apply for a UK Visa in Cebu and I thought I’d make an updated one since I just applied for my boyfriend’s tourist visa to the UK last April 7, 2016.

My boyfriend and I will be travelling to the UK to watch the World Ultimate & Guts Championships 2016 this June and being the busy man that he is (as if I’m not busy), I became his instant travel agent.

I searched online and found out that we can apply for his tourist visa here in Cebu through VFS Global in Keppel Center. We went there to inquire but their staff won’t accommodate inquiries. They will only accommodate you if you have an appointment to submit your documents. They’ll just tell you to go online so don’t bother going there to inquire. Also, make an appointment only when your travel date is in three months or less. Continue reading

Back to blogging…

As I was looking for tips on how to apply for a tourist visa for my boyfriend, I realized how much help I got from bloggers in my past trips. I like to plan ahead before going on trips, just to give my nerbyosa self a peace of mind. I used to have a blog but I used it mainly to rant about stuff when I’m angry (but I kept it private). lol

I realized that I have some free time so I decided to create a new and public blog. I’d like to keep everything useful in this blog. Not only will I post about my past and recent travels, I will try to post about how to’s and of course some of my life experiences (which I will narrate for my future children and grandchildren to read). I like to talk to people but because I’m away from home, (wherever home is), a lot of my friends aren’t really available all the time for me to meet up with.

You see, I don’t really have a permanent address. I’ve called a couple of addresses my home in my 24 years of existence. You might be confused but here’s a summary of the places I call/ed home or have lived in in the past.

2940_82262549168_6913622_nPittsburgh ’09 – Roadtrip from Toronto to Ohio

I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA on a lucky Friday the 13th but my mom brought me back to the Philippines when I was just months old. I grew up in Iligan City and I was already 12 years old when I went back to visit the United States. I just went every summer to Los Angeles after that because I had to finish my studies in Iligan City.

After I graduated college, I went to LA for the summer but I had to go back and live in Sampaloc, Manila to review for the CPA Board Exams in June 2013.

After I got my CPA license in 2013, I went to live in Cebu for a few months (where my boyfriend lives) and then I went back to Los Angeles to live with my family in early 2014. I stayed there for six months and I even worked part time at Universal Studios Hollywood (’twas a fun job :b). A few things happened (I got pretty lucky) and I now live in Cebu.

So in case you did not read my blabs, here’s a summary of the places I have lived in the past:

Pittsburgh, PA > Iligan > Los Angeles, CA > (Iligan > Los Angeles) 7 times > Sampaloc > Cebu > Los Angeles > Cebu

LOL.

I need to go back to work now. ;))

Bye and welcome to my blog! Hope you’ll enjoy reading about my adventures!
