On October of last year, I went on a weekend getaway with my boyfriend’s cousins to Hong Kong! We were so lucky to be able to snag super low fares from Cathay Pacific.

Three Days in Shanghai, China
Dubbed as the New York of Asia, Shanghai should definitely be in everyone’s bucketlist. We rode the bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai and arrived on a rainy afternoon.
Here are the spots that we visited in Shanghai for three and a half days:
Shanghai Circus World
For our first night in Shanghai, I booked tickets through Viator to see the Shanghai Circus World. The tickets were only USD 23.90 each and it had high ratings on tripadvisor so I said why the hell not. It had high ratings for a reason because the show was spectacular! I actually felt all sorts of excitement while watching the show. The ticket says it all, Miss it and you miss Shanghai. 😉
Shanghai Disneyland
One of the things that I would like to do in my life is to visit every Disney Park in the world. lol I know, I’m such a shallow little twit but I just love how amusement parks make me feel like I can be a kid again. I think watching too much Disney shows as a kid also influenced my love for Disneyland. lol
Three Days in Beijing, China
I have always been curious of China and its culture. I didn’t want to travel to China at first because I needed to apply for a tourist visa but I just went for it because I didn’t know where else to travel plus I really wanted to visit the Great Wall of China. I also wanted to go to Bali instead but my body’s deffff not Bali-ready so we just booked tickets for a week’s stay in China. Here are the places that we were able to see on our three day stay in Beijing!
Quanjude Wangfujing Roast Duck Restaurant

Coron Island Escapade Tour
We only stayed two full days in Coron so we had to choose from one of these tours. We already toured around the beautiful sights of Coron Island on our first day and we wanted to try and see what Palawan beaches are made of so we chose the Island Escapade Tour.

Coron Island Ultimate Tour
July 6, 2017
The best part about visiting Palawan (El Nido and Coron) is that their tours are already organized into groups, depending on the sights that you want to visit. You can just choose which tour you want and you can already see a lot of sights in one day.
HOTEL REVIEW: The Funny Lion
I rarely write reviews about the hotels that we stayed in (maybe because they’re mostly just budget hotels lol) but The Funny Lion is definitely an exception! I felt that I needed to write about our experience here because we actually didn’t want to leave the hotel. lol
Hotel Grounds/Services
The check-in was a breeze. Their lobby was un-airconditioned and open, and it was just so refreshing to see such a sight. Nice hotels usually have airconditioned and high ceiling lobbies but The Funny Lion’s lobby was quite unique. I wasn’t able to take a photo of it because I only go there to connect to the wifi. lol (P.S. Their wifi is quite bad and there was no LTE signal inside our room.)
The hotel has two buildings, and this one is facing the pool. Our room was on the lower left side of the building in the photo below so it was really cool to have the pool just outside our room.
Bacolod, Philippines
May 2017
I played at the PFDA Ultimate Frisbee Nationals last May in Bacolod and an ultimate frisbee tournament always comes with a side trip. Right when we landed, we went straight to The Ruins. We rode a taxi to bring us to the Ruins and we paid Php 140 each for the taxi. There were 5 of us. The taxi driver just waited for us for an hour and dropped us off at our hotel after.

Downtown Taipei, Taiwan
March 13, 2017
We toured around downtown Taipei on our last full day in Taiwan. As usual, we woke up late. lol Of course, I had to do a mirror shot before we went out of our apartment. lol

Jiufen Old Street and Shifen Station, Taiwan
March 12, 2017
We started our third day in Taiwan with a trip to Jiufen Old Street. We woke up a little late, tired from all the hustlin we did at the Raohe Night Market the night before. 😉
